"Morning Grass" & "Ocean Excerpt" Double Feature Cassette
I painted this cassette artwork by hand in 2016 and planned on releasing this tape, but it never happened. The printing shop in Reno was marveling at it and simply couldn’t get the job done. Eventually I picked up the original art from the shop and never released it.
One of the many things I wanted to do this year, musically, was to finally release it, along with many of my other albums, on cassette. The last several months have been a legitimate shit show and halted my musical aspirations for the first half of the year, dealing with losing our home, my main source of income, Dietra’s many visits to the hospital and my downwardly spiraling mental condition. I’m pleased to announce that I now have physical copies of this cassette. It was a real trip holding the entire package together for the first time after more than 9 years. I smiled.
This tape is unique because it’s a “double feature”.
It contains two albums that were both made for the analog medium. Side A is 2012’s “MORNING GRASS”, which was recorded entirely on a single track cassette recorder. Each song was recorded as one complete take. Side B contains 2015’s “OCEAN EXCERPT”. It’s a collection of re-purposed audio from the previous two years or so (2013-2014) From the making of “Songs of Old” to the album “June Gloom” that dropped in the Fall of 2019, this album contains bits and pieces (excerpts) of sound that would otherwise probably go unheard forever.
They will go on sale shortly but don’t hesitate to DM me to reserve your copy today. All Little Records cassette tapes are made in small quantities of 10-50 copies so be sure to get a jump on it. Thank you for reading.
Booklet features a handwritten behind the scenes look at the making of the two albums.
